For anyone interested in my feedback about the ARC timeline for one individual family in the Canadian-Middle Eastern region (family sponsorship), please note that my personal experience suggests nearly two years from date of the ARC application to final written contact from CHQ-Damascus. 

All in all from start to finish, this particular family class sponsorship for one person had a timeline of 5 & 1/2 years. I personally don't believe that these types of 'timeline posts' are any benchmark or reliable predictor for actual individual wait times, but I thought I'd mention it for anyone who might be interested.
