Hello everyone,
I am on a closed work permit W-1 Worker Visa valid till 26 September 2017 and a closed work permit till 28th of September 2017. I had landed in Canada on 29th of September 2016. I intend to travel to India for 5 days on 10th of May 2017. Will I be allowed to re-enter Canada? Please let me know the different options that I have to complete my travel successfully.

It is not your work permit that allows you to re-enter Canada, it is your visitor visa (TRV or Electronic Travel Authorization). If you have a currently valid visa that coincides with your future travel plans, then you should be fine. Naturally, receiving entry or not at the port of entry is a matter which is exclusive to the decision making authority of an CBSA officer.
