PR after marriage provided I'm on a PGWP

If I am on a Post Graduation Work Permit and happen to fall in love and get married, would this marriage allow me to get a Permanent Residency?

1. Well if your spouse was a Citizen or PR and s/he was willing to sponsor you, you could apply for Permanent Residence. It is not automatic.

If you marry a Canadian, you will qualify to become sponsored for immigration to Canada.
