Hi everyone,

Originally i applied to immigrate by my self, i got married one month ago. 10 days ago i got a letter from CIC that they need my passport to stamp the temporary visa, i should be landing in Canada no later than Dec 2010, i have some questions and i would appreciate it if you can help me out with them:

1- Do you recommend that i land by my self and get the PR card, then apply (from outside Canada) to sponsor my wife. If things went fine does she need to land in Canada after she gets the approval?

2- Shall i contact the immigration office and inform them with the change of the marital status, and apply for my wife? will i miss the deadline to land because processing my wife's application will take time?

I would appreciate it if you can tell me what is the best way to do in this situation.

Thanks a lot

Laith

Update file and add her. Your status has changed. If you go ahead and land and then advise them you were "married before you landed", your case will fall under "misrepresentation" and your PR status maybe revoked.
