Yes. She has enough time. Is the husband doing it inland or outland?

I have a few questions for a friend...

She is Jamaican and her husband is Canadian.  Her husband is sponsoring her from Jamaica to come to Canada (OUTLAND) with her 18 year old daughter who currently lives in England.

She is currently in Canada with her husband on a Temp visa for 1 year which expires in Aug 2010.

They plan on applying for sponsorship in Feburay 2010 (gives them time to gather necessary info).

At this point I know she will have to complete a police check in Canada and in Jamaica  (all places she has lived for more than 6 consecutive months)- fine.

Does she have to go to Jamaica to complete the police check or can she stay in Canada and get them to do the police check from here?

she can do it in Canada. This is what I found from the web:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canadian-immigration-police-clearance.html#J

Non-Resident Requests Certificates may be obtained by the applicant, or a representative acting on the applicant’s behalf, from the Assistant Commissioner of Police (see below). Applicants applying from Canada should enclose their complete mailing address in Canada so that the police certificate may be mailed directly to them. Two photographs are required with the application, along with the applicable fees in the form of a manager’s cheque or a bank draft. Assistant Commissioner of Police Criminal Investigation Branch East Queen St. P.O. Box 462 Kingston, Jamaica

Does she have to go to Jamaica to complete her medical?

she can do her medical in Canada

Her daughter moved to England when she was 12 - she is now 18

Does her daughter have to do a police check for Jamaica? If so, does she have to go to Jamaica to do this?

guideline says since 18, so probably not

Also, does she have to go to Jamaica to complete her medical?

the daughter can go to a DMP in England

Any answers will be appreciated.
