If your file is being transferred for residency hearing, it must mean that you are in for a long-haul process which will include a hearing with the judge. Is that a correct understanding of your situation? |

I do not know whether this is the right thread or not but I applied my wife's from Toronto. Her timeline is below:
Toronto (Living in Markham) Received application on January 21, 2014. Sent letter acknowledging receipt on January 21, 2014. Started processing your application on March 11, 2014. What is the usual time for Toronto if it is a routine processing? Some of her friends and our relatives received within 6-8 months of processing. Please advise if anyone is aware. How long does it usually take to get the file transferred from St Clair to Mississauga location? I had a phone interview with an officer from St Clair office whom the next day added a note saying transferring the file to Mississauga for residency hearing and its been 2 weeks and every time I call they tell me the file still in St Clair.
