I find some that these job sites do not really recruit online.I tried to apply online, but there is no response for a single inquiry sent.
You need to be in Canada to find one I guess.
thanks,

Hello Virve, online job boards work -- they have for me and many others I know. But like you said they are more effective if you are already in the country.

Not that you can't benefit from the process of posting your resume online. I think there is always a benefit to have your resume out there even if you're not in the country. Make sure it is in the Canadian format though.

Best wishes!

You're welcome Virve!

I'm in the process of putting together a Squidoo web page on helping new immigrants find jobs here in Canada. However, this will take some time for me to complete. In the meantime, here are some of the popular job websites in Canada:

http://www.workopolis.com/
http://www.monster.ca/
http://ca.hotjobs.yahoo.com/

There are many more, but start with these 3. Also, if you are in a specific field (i.e. accounting, HR, etc.) , there are specific job boards for those.

You will have to create a profile in each of these websites, complete some basic information and upload your resume.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

All the best,

No problem, Virve...for bank jobs you can use the links that I provided in my earlier response.
I sure will let you know as soon as I my web page up and running.
Wow, it's been a while, eh? I'm sure things will start to take shape at the right time.
It took a few years for one of my friend and her family, but it finally came through and they are already here in Canada now. I'll be in touch and all the best!
Take care,
AJ

Hey Virve, just dropped in to say "hello". Hope all is well...
I've been in and out of town and am having some friends from out of town today who will be with me this week. So it's been busy. However, just wanted to let you know that the web page, I talked about, is coming along fine and I hope to have it ready some time this week.
Hope you've had a good weekend!
Cheers,
