The Ontario government is introducing legal changes that will allow it to crackdown on businesses that establish universities or colleges without having the appropriate approval to offer degrees/diplomas. Officials say this will allow them to act faster to shutdown or reprimand such businesses. The province fears that bogus agents will exploit the current environment to attract more foreign students to the province by advertising locally and abroad offering courses which are not valid in Canada. The government wants to avoid a situation with many foreign students having been cheated. |

We have the same issue in UK. They have a license number for each college now and they are inspected every 6 month. Every student taken on has to have xx sg. feet of space in the college. |
