Immigration just responded to my email I sent last Friday..I think 1 week is pretty good going as it says they may not respond for 28 days!

Glad you got your file #, knew once you emailed london they would give it to you. They are pretty good over there. Now you can email if you have any concerns or additional stuff to forward. least now you know it will get to your file. I'd say your going to have your visa in no time at all. Big smile

We're now at about a month and a half of Buffalo receiving my application, and they received my ARC application on the 17th of this month. I'm hoping they'll process both of them at once (the Seattle consulate recommended I send it with my file number so they can be together). It's a little tiring, all this waiting! At least when we were scrambling to get everything, I knew that there were things I could do. Now, the only thing to do is to try and not go crazy while we wait. At this point, though, I suppose no news is good news? I hope it means everything was included, that my background check is acceptable (no record, so I dunno what problem there could be!), that my medicals are all in order, etc.

Yes a very good feeling..Although I have not recieved a letter from London yet, the fact that they have emailed back within the week and given me my b-file number makes me feel like my case really is being worked on! Smile

brit, checked the documents & the case type on there is blank. If i come accross it on other documents i'll let you know. Maybe it means where they are on working on your app. 10 meaning beginning on app, 4 meaning less work to do on it, i.e. closer to decision made. Hopefully!!
