I've been so busy lately, I forgot to post that I finally landed! October 29th, I could finally come to Canada. It's so odd being at the other end of the journey -- I thought we'd be waiting forever. There can't be many more in our group waiting, I hope.

I am still looking for a job..I am selling Avon at the moment..but finding it hard when I dont know anyone..and going door to door is not working too well either!

HUGE hurdle surpassed:
 
My wife got her SIN card and health card today with no problems whatsoever.
She also had a job interview yesterday (which went extremely well)!
 
My fingers are crossed!!!  Things are looking up for us.  Even if she can't leave the country until her PR card arrives (which will take several months) she can at least start living a normal and productive life.

Wow Mrs. I -- that's awful.  Hoping that you hear from them soon, and that things get sorted out quickly.
 
Our story is long and strange - but right now the obly update I have is this:
 
My wife received her certified copy of her landing documentation yesterday.  It came with a cover letter from CIC stating that if PR status was no longer valid, there would be an official stamp indicating as such on the landing documentation.  The good news: there is no such stamp on her papers.  Next steps: SIN and health cards.
 
Patience is a virtue :)
