For those who have gone through CIC Montreal, would you please share your timelines
1. From when you received your letter from Vegreville informing that the file has been transferred to Montreal
2. When you receive the letter from Montreal for landing interview.
3. Landing interview date.

In addition, do they accept interac?

Within a week of decision made I had the interview.

It was in Montreal and was a group call.

Basically your interview ill be 9am or 1pm and as is everyone else id say maybe 200 people were in the room.

Sit in the first row; as someone will enter the room and say come line up here; first in best dress; its messy everyone rushing pushing etc.

Then you go to another big waiting room with everyone; then maybe 10 workers will come and sit around at desks and you then get called and sit and they verify the CSQ & your password and yours sponsor doc and then that's it.

You can not leave Canada for another possible 3 months until you have the PR card.

Its not like a real interview it all open you can hear everyone's interview just more checking the documents I believe. I took all my whole file but it wasn't required/.

Hello, I just received my interview letter today! FINALLY!!Big smile

Here's my timelines:

CIC-V received my application on Aug 24, 2009.
Started to process on Oct 5, 2009.
Decision Made on Mar 24, 2010.
Received Decision made letter + open work permit on Mar 31, 2010.
Received Interview letter from CIC-Montreal on Apr 16, 2010.
My interview will take place on Apr 23, 2010.

I don't know if they accept interac, it only shows "no personal cheque accepted" on my letter.
And the place to pay is different from the interview.
But I guess you need this letter to make payment if you want to pay at their office.
Hope it helps you.

Bonjour!

I just finished my interview!! Oh Yeah! Now I'm permanent resident!
The cards will arrive in 4-6 weeks.
However, the officer forgot to put one more date on my paper, I need to take an appointment and go back to see him again!Confused

Here's my experience...
My partner and I arrived there 30 mins earlier and there were already many people waiting in a room.
The officer asked us to line up, checked our interview letter and gave us the information regarding the right of PR.
Then we went to another room to wait for their call.
They'd bring you to another room for interview once they called your name.
My officer checked my passport and CSQ. For my partner, he checked his ID card.
And he asked me two questions if I have dependents outside of Canada? If I commited any crime?
The last step is to sign and congratulation!

By the way, when we were brought to another room for interview, the first question he asked my partner is if he wanted me to gain the permanent residence permit?
We asked him if any sponsor said NO at the last minute, he said yes..Shocked

Good luck to you on May 3!
