Folks, I got my ECA from WES this morning. Mi bawl out likkle bit at my desk

So now I'm in the Express entry pool with 465 points. The last draw had a minimum of 735. Just haffi hold mi corner and wait and see. Hoping for the best.

That's great news YamPower.
Am sure your time will come sooner rather than later.
I am hoping that they will soon be drawing from persons with less than 500 points.  My neighbours are hoping to join the pool too but I hate EE. Confused....it confuses me.  I liked the FIFO process. Big smile

Thanks! The points dropping to 500+ is probably just around the corner (within the next two to three draws). But I suspect that the points may go back up again when the provinces get their Nominee Programs sorted out. The thing is, most of the PNP people will be dealing directly with the provinces; most of the selection won't be through EE.

Yes obryan, everything a gwaan. To think that I'm at this point having started getting things together a little under two months ago.

Based on how things are going with the draws, I might have a short wait or a long one. Cyaan really know right now. I think they may prioritise the Canadian Experience Class since they're already in Canada working. But they might just lump up everybody like in the first two draws and let the chips fall where they may. There have been 4 draws thus far, with a maximum of 21 left to go. I really want to leave Jamaica this year but who knows what will happen.

That's good. Hope things work out for you this year and it comes down to sub 400 sooner rather than later. And especially before the Job Bank gets up and running. At least the number in a draw has gone above 1000...finally.

Don't hold your breathe about sub-400. It's possible but more than likely not for now. Take a look at the Express Entry spreadsheet to see the score distribution

Hi YamPower, Haven't done too much research on the EE. How many draws per month are they doing?

They've done four draws thus far and said they would do max 25. So basically they're left with two per month but I think due to the holidays they may only do one in December.

Good to see all the good news happening here. Welcome Whips. Di food done yet? Yesterday wasn't a bad day weather wise but the snow is back on again today. Going out in a few minutes to shovel some soft snow...my favourite kind....lol. Whips gwaan go shovel some to fi work off di haad food.

Best Wishes guys.

PS Obryan....I landed May 2013 then went home and returned May 2014. In August or September 2014 I filed my taxes using the free Turbo Tax option and basically had 0 for all income categories including World Income. I got my official letter to acknowledge my filing about a week later so I am officially on their tax system. Time to file again. This time I will have Canadian employment info to put on it but its not anything great so I think I will go the Turbo Tax route again.  When I am in a better job and have more expenses etc I may have to go the route of others and get a tax expert to help out...lol.

PSS...Does anyone keep in touch with Lizann? I wonder about her all the time. I hope she and her family are all okay.

I chat with her ever so often.  Shes good last we spoke.

OK. That's good.

Hi Forum Family. All is well. Tired but ok. We got a tenant who should be moving in soon. Background check was good. Islandbabe, thanks for your help with the form.

Paris, all now I don't reach downtown. Just today I hear how the higglers box up Mr Heffes and kick up a Chinese lady. smh. Dem things turn me off. Hope to go there though cause will need suitcases soon and at this stage I cant afford no tutty gran suitcase.

Kids and I will be joining hubby when he finds work...so as soon as he gets job I will resign. I already told my boss of my plans. Latest we will leave though is end of June. We told the kids already. Younger one start planning about winter coat and boots. Older one going to miss her friends but she is ok with the idea. We gave them permission to start telling their friends yesterday...no turning back.

I will be getting some more boxes tomorrow so I plan to pack some more stuff. Things I don't plan to take with me and that I can do without, and that I don't plan to sell, I am giving away from now. I don't have the space to keep anything. Anybody knows anyone who wants a Yamaha psre423 keyboard and stand to buy? 25G negotiable. Also have almost new mattress, dining set, entertainment centre...sale! sale! Migrating...everything must go! Seriously, it is really hard though parting with some stuff. So many memories. But the good Lord done remind me that me cant take them with me to heaven so this is good practice to part with the earthly stuff Wink

Whips, proud of you how you moving around and getting things done. Welcome Jamdung. Stick and stay.
