lol yeh Maarkie i have actually found the garbage ting here quite interesting...the 2-bag curbside limit per house (in Peel region) was very shocking to me - and having to PAY ($1 each) for extra bags.

When i just got here and read that,  i was fretting that i would be paying through my teeth for garbage because obviously the 2 free bags would be used by my landlords so i would have to pay for my bags.

But as time passed i realized its no issue at all because 90% of my garbage every week (and other ppl as well) is recyclable and quite conveniently, there's no limit on recycled garbage bags.  I very rarely have more than 1 bag for 'actual' garbage..same goes for my landlord - so that's the 2 bags right there..hence as luck would have it,  i don't normally have to pay for any extra bags.  yaaay me! lol :D

Also they are very specific as to the type and size of bags/containers you use, and how to package different kinds of garbage.  For example your recycled stuff MUST either be in a blue box, green bin, or a TRANSPARENT bag - basically so that they can see whats in it b4 they collect it.

And of course u can be fined for breaking waste management rules like leaving your garbage on the curb for longer than you are allowed lol

Its very interesting to me caz these are some of the things we take for granted in JA.  If interested y'all can learn more here:

We live in a disciplined society - sadly the same can't be said of our homeland - but if no example is set by the Govt the people will just continue to laugh and ignore the rules...

That Gleaner post nah sey nothing cause Jamaica not producing nothing except new born pickney and stress, until the economy reduce imports and start export only then will something positive change. To me, the salary that the public sector earn is like a partner draw from tax payer, the same money keep circulating no new money in the economy. If one man default dem caah pay the people !!
