Welcome to all who just landed!!!
I am now in the land of the 'Canadian employed' Smile so I'm busy travelling to and from work and finding my way around. Things are pretty much ok though so I'm giving God thanks for this break.

Hope the job hunt coming on for those who have just started.

Have a good weekend all!!!
I am confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in me will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ

Hi Everyone,

I landed briefly for 2 days. I landed on May 29 and left May 31. I spent 30 - 35 minutes to get out of the airport....I arrived too early the Service Canada wasnt open at the airport hence i had to find one nearby the airport. Cab fare was $86 and this does not include the times i sweet talk the driver to turn the meter off  (I had to bawl dung the price and paid $60). Being that i have no family there i stayed at a hotel (Wasnt a good experience has my laptop was stolen had to get the police involve and get "jungle" on them in the end it was returned). In my short visit i didnt see any graffiti on the walls and i didnt feel like puking when i went in a cab or elevator ( This is a big plus for me I cant say the same about New York...... Yes am petty!!)

I took some stats in the little time i have been there to create a survival manual for myself as i have to plan to a T to meet my goals. I am super optimistic that i will achieve it. First i have to sort out lining up interviews before go come back as i cant come and sit pretty until (well if push come to shove i will just have to McGyver it out).....

Grats. welcome to canada. where did you land by the way? It seems your trip was very exciting. Have no friends where u land cuz the hotel thing may burn ur pocket

Tnx.......Pearson Airport. No frens i know zero people in Canada (Pocket Fry out already)

Have no family here either. Dont let that deter u still jus contact some recruiters. But most cases they require u to be present for an interview. Depends on your field as well. All the best still. Hope you can find temporary accommodations even for a two weeks to work on getting a job. congrats again
