Morning All.
I have a small question which I would like to have an expert opinion on ASAP. The questions is: "what is the maximum allowed and acceptable consecutive absence period outside Canada for a permanent resident by Canadian immigration law? How many consecutive months ? I heard that it is 6 consecutive months max and not more ...is this true or not? Thanks for your time and feedback on this matter.

Hi
1. You have to reside in Canada for 2 years in every 5 year period. So theoretically you could reside for 2 years straight and then leave for 3 years. There is no 6 months rule since 2002. |
