Hi
According to Work Permit Fee Exemptions:

.Individuals who have an unenforceable removal order who need to support themselves
.Persons who have applied for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds
"Are exempt from paying open work permit fee. "

So if failed refugee claimants who have unenforceable removal order or applied for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds; they don't have to pay open work permit fee?

It is very interesting that we received the AIP (letter dated June 4th) and when I look online in ECAS there is no update of that correspondence or any other update since "we started processing your application". Does anyone know how long it takes to update online? Given that the phone systems are down for updates it's hard to know if they have send medical request. What is everyone's experience with this?

In Ecas my application status change to Decision Made but when I opened the status and no update. The last information showed “your medical has been result”.
I called CIC and talked to agent asking about Decision Made and they said .. background passed.
Even I couldn’t get update from CIC.

quete_me thanks. It is virtually no update whatsoever so it's hard to know if the medical request was sent. Does not help that the phone lines are down for updates

Optimistic

If DM after AIP is usually application completed and they'll schedule you for landing interview in local IRCC office.

Sent PRRA application today and now praying it takes super long! (Enough to reach the end of first stage of HC).
I read both files are often processed concurrently, so hoping this will be true for us too...

If an applicant submits both an H&C and a PRRA application, both assessments may be done concurrently.”

Good luck!
