Amen! Mine was too for stage one, she was really fast in 3 months her decison was already made.
Since you are from Quebec, they will also transfer your file to MIDI. Then MIDI will contact you for your CSQ application after what with the work permit, your Mother will finally get her RAMQ Card.

oh your file too was sent to Montreal ? Are you from Montreal? Yes mom can apply for work permit now but for CSQ we need to wait couple of months , you are right then she can get the access to RMQ , I can’t believe that I won’t have to pay anymore hospital visits :) God is great . I hope she receive it before July , as in July her curèrent medical insurance will expire ( which doesn’t cover the cancer related treatment , bought last year never used ) otherwise I need to buy another one if CSQ is not received by June . |
I'm from Quebec-City, my file goes from BRO-Vancouver to BRO-Montreal and still there! Just officer changed after AIP. MIDI contact me 6 months After AIP, because the transfer between two agents took too long, 5 months!!! But then CSQ issue after 2 weeks from sending back MIDI files.
Then 3 months wait for RAMQ coverage from the day of registration...
Hope your New officer get your file in touch ASAP. Private Medical insurance <img src="smileys/smiley29.gif" alt="Wacko" title="Wacko" />, they took the money easily but hardly cover anything, still no choice to have it. Maybe you can see for 6 months extension instead of 1 whole year.

thanks for clarifying. Didn’t your send to Niagara Falls ? RMQ has 3 months waiting period then what you said two officers transfer file took 5 months omg it’s way long. Mom’s insurance is very expensive.its a travel insurance and according to the age they charge it. I paid 2000$ , if csq delays I need to pay another 2000$ atleast . I have been purchasing this since 2015. When did you get your AIP? |
The 3 months wait for the health card is compulsory, but maybe your file wouldn't take 5 months to transfer, mine never sent to Niagara Falls. My AIP is from August 2017, got CSQ begining of February 2018, RAMQ card May 2018. |

It's cover ( consultation, hospitalazation, surgery and so on...) but not dental services (just urgents conditions are covered) and few Optometric services from 65 years. It also cover some medication up to a certain percentage.
Usually they try to make you land before medical expired, but if it's expired they can extend it if the initial exam was done in less than 15 months and that medical is the only thing left for final decision.
you will need new RAMQ after becoming PR because the first one may be for 1 year only.

Nope! unfortunatly, even consultation during the 3 months waiting she will not be cover. Call to open your file as soon as MIDI contact you, so when you got her CSQ just send it to complete the file, like this she will wait less time.

I'm posting this question in hopes someone can answer it. For anyone who applied for H&C and filled out their own application, did you need to request an exemption from any of the requirements. And if you did request an exemption, did you write that in your own plain words or did you also include/reference any acts/regulations/laws while requesting the exemption?

Was there more then one exemption sought? I need to seek 2 exemptions for my father 1) inadmissibility due to misrepresentation and 2) exemption from having a valid passport/travel document But what happens if there may be some exemption we may need to have saught anf not be aware of? Would writing something like this: i am writing to request an exemption in my h&c for the following things (but not limitied to, and anything else that would otherwise make me inadmissible/ineligible): and then write the known exmeptions and the parts of the acts??

I think the drill is that the officer should try to discover for inadmissibilities and confirm them if the circumstances looks like it. If not and it was discovered in stage 2, it will likely be kicked back to the officer in stage 1 for consideration

Congratulations for those who have got success in their applications. Your sharing here gives us hope, we too will surely testify. Does anyone know the mailing address for Vancouver BRO. I want to send updates.Its now 7months after application in presses( 16 months total)but no AIP yet.

I had submitted my father's h&c in March 2018. In summer 2018 we found out my mother could sponsor him in-land and we submitted that application in september 2018. He passed his medical, his bgc, and my mother passed sponsor eligibility. Only thing that held my father back was the inadmissibility due to misrepresentation. I know I can at this stage request for them to consider h&c factors in his sponsorship file, and I'm aware of the exemptions i must ask for. But what worries me is what if they find something else?? Although, logically, if they found another reason except for the inadmissibility they would have also stated that in the letter. Your thoughts @park1996 please?
