I have recently applied for permanent residency under Federal Skilled Worker category in June to Ottowa office. I haven't received any acknowledgement till today from them. Is it normal?, if so how long it usually takes?

Yes, I guess.
FSW file receiver will not give you any acknowledgement till your file will be in process. They will mail you on your give EMIL ID just after creating FILE NO. Before that you will just have to wait. I actually put my file in starting of May, and I am still waiting. It will approximately take time of 6 months. So Keep calm and pray for your file.
