Hi,
Pls inform me regarding the issue of a day spent in Canada prior to getting PR which may be counted as half a day towards fulfilling requirement of 2 yrs out of 5. When does this prior time or days you visited Canada before getting PR does not become valid to use? |

You are mistaken on this issue.
To keep PR status, you need to reside in Canada for at least 2 years (730 days) for 5 years after you become PR. You are probably thinking about citizenship residency requirement. You can use days spent in Canada prior to becoming a PR to apply for citizenship. Those days are counted as half a day, to max of one year, and it has to occur within 4 years prior to applying for citizenship.
