Hi Guys,

This is my first post on this forum. I got to know about this forum from Yahoo answers recommended by one user there.

I am planning to file PR application for Canada but I am confused whether I should do on my own or should I go to any immigration consultant. They are charging a  lot so I was thinking to file on my own but I was worried about documentation. For example, education documents are required to sent in a special envelope with defined format, etc.,

I wanted to check with people here if anybody applied on his own. How he went through all this and how he got evaluation of his documents. Will embassy people help to evaluate the documents?

thanks
Prash

Most people do it one their own. But you must read the instructions on www.cic.gc.ca   For example it explains who you must contact to get your educational qualifications assessed, it is not CIC. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp
