Hi,

Can someone please tell me if I am right on below assumptions:

1- I must show family gross income of $55,000 for three years in order to be able to sponsor my parents starting Jan 2015 and there is a cap of 20,000 applications on first mailed first basis?! (I am married and have no kids - I am looking to sponsor my mom and dad and no dependents)

2- Super Visa is now a permanent program?!

Thanks,

1. Cap is 5000 per year. Mini is about $55K per year, won't know until program re-opens in January.
2. Yes it is a permanent program.

pmm, thanks for the feedback.

How does the cap system work? Do you go stand in a line up or do you express mail? I don't understand the cap system on number applications. Please shed some light.

Thanks,

1. When the CAP re-opens, the first COMPLETE 5000 application received at Mississauga Processing Centre by courier/mail are processed, the rest are returned.

Hi,

How does one know when the cap opens? Would this be an online announcement? I am wondering if there is a huge flux of applications coming in and they are based on mail delivery times or some sort of order. I mean isn't there an expectation that the delivery guy might deliver 10k of applications in one day instead of 4k?

Thanks,

1. It will be announced on www.cic.ca
2. Most of the applications arrive within the first week or so.
3. Based on the time they are received. It is unlikely that any one courier would have 10K packages to deliver on 1 day.
