Well, my husband and I have been Canadian PR holders since Dec '06, although we only moved to Canada from the U.S. permanently in Jan '09. (Husband had been on H1B for about 5 years). Sept '09 we thought we'd apply for a U.S. visit visa so we could spend the Christmas holidays with friends back in the U.S. We took in the necessary paperwork - lady at the consulate asked us our reason for wanting to travel to the U.S., where my husband was currently employed and how much he made, and that was it. She gave us a 10 yr multiple entry visit visa, and passport was mailed back to us in 4 days.
Good luck to you.
