Canada Visit Visa Approved After US GC Approved

I had applied online for my mom's Canada Visit Visa on May 10, 2013, while her US Green Card application was still in progress. On May 17, 2013, she got her US Green Card approved and received the card on May 31, 2013. On June 3, 2013, we were notified by email that her Canada Visit Visa decision has been made, and they asked us to mail her passport to the NY office for stamping. I believe she doesn't need that Canada visit visa anymore, and we can safely ignore the passport mail request by CIC, but would like to find out from senior members of this forum, if there would be any issues in the future. She is visiting Canada between July 3-7, 2013. Your input is greatly appreciated.
