Hi,
I was just recently asked to pay fee for ARC along with submitting the explaining letter by the Visa Office. 

I got a couple of questions. I'd really appreciate any input.

1. I got my bank draft in CAD$, would it delay the processing of my ARC since they might have to send it over to CIC in Canada to cash?

2. Does anyone know how long it would take approximately to process when the Visa Office directly requests it from applicant with spousal PR pending on the ARC?

	(1) If the VO says you can pay with a CAD bank draft or money order, it won't delay processing as noting payment and processing your ARC are two separate steps. (2) ARCs generally add 4-6 months onto the processing time, depending upon the reason for the ARC. Simplest is a deportation order where you just failed to tell CBSA that you left. More complicated are cases where they forcibly deported you and you must repay the costs of your removal. Good luck!
