C.A.I.P.S stands for 'Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System'.
This is the computer system used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to manage immigration applications being processed outside of Canada.
By ordering your CAIPS notes from CAIPS Direct you can obtain the latest information relating to your visa application. (retrieved from http://www.caipsdirect.com/)

hi seniors,
i send application +documentation in july 09 and waiting for medicals...
what is your suggestion..did i need to know the reason for delay...through.. CAIPS..

kindly explain that CAIPS can help to tell me the reason to delay..for even medical...
coz what i am understand they are processing my application..
kindly tell me that whether my initial assessment of points is complete or not or it is still in determination process...

I am waiting for the final decision for my PR for the last 4 months.
