Hey guys, Good to see that some of us are hearing things from the Canadian Government, and may possibly get some good news soon!? I just received a letter asking me to give the history of where I have been living, working and my education since December 2009, which is the date they received my application in Vegreville. It is the same form that you had to fill out in the initial application, asking for the last 10 year history of where you lived, worked etc. Which I might add was so difficult to remember! So I think and I hope that my application may be at the final stages? Just thought Id share, good luck to all I hope we get some good news soon **INLAND** Application Rcvd - January 6, 2010 Started Processing -March 11, 2010 Decision Made October 2010 (AIP) / Received 1 year OWP APP STILL IN VEGREVILLE |

Hey guys. Happy Easter. How are you ? I have just a few days until my interview. I'm so nervous. Maybe you know to answer my question : I did some volunteer work last year ( so ... no paid ) do you think it's ok to tell them that I did volunteer work before I had my work permit ? Thanks and I hope I will have great news next week.

Well I think this is finally it, folks. I received a letter a couple weeks back: one was from Vegreville saying my app is completed, and the other form the local office (Niagara Falls) for an interview on May 12. I am to bring the ROPR fee and two PR card photos. This should be it for me.
Whew, a year and a half. I tell ya, glad when this will finally be done and I can go visit my family!!!!

Not sure if anyone is viewing this thread anymore. Finally had my landing interview yesterday, so now I am officially a Permanent Resident of Canada. Whew! They said I get my PR card in 6-8 weeks.
It was a really easy interview, where they have you verify all your information and tell you the rights and responsibilities of being a PR. Whole process took 18 months from start to finish. So glad this whole ordeal is over!!!

OMG, THAT IS AMAZING BLUEDRAGON!!!!
Your ordeal is finally over!! So happy for you, now can leave the country and visit everyone you have missed for so long! Thank you for starting this thread, I am so glad I found it as it has kept me in the know about the completely vague process of applying for P.R. Good luck continuing your life as a half Canadian!
