Hello everyone,
Just trying to collect data for statistical purposes. I need your input if you have received a QR before the test. This will help determine if CIC is going in a new direction and also have an idea of processing timelines. Thank you very much. Here is my timeline: Application Sent: April 26 2011 Application received and Acknowledgement letter sent : May 4 2011 Status changed to "In Process" on June 5 2012 Website says: We started Processing your application on June 5 2012 On June 11, I received RQ form with letter dated June 6 2102

Applicants who received a Residency Questionnaire before the citizenship test are welcome to share their experience.

Hi kesacophedo,
I think receiving RQ before test and in advance is better than receiving it on test date or after that. At least this will decrease the processing time for RQ. Edited by BlackRacon - 19 Jun 2012 at 5:17pm |

You're absolutely right Racon and that's what I've been thinking....I know some cases where applicants got RQ 4 months after test date thinking that they would get ceremony invitation. I just hope this new practice will save us the agony and torture of long processing times. We have nothing to lose. We just need to wait and see.

Yes, kesacophedo,
The new practice of RQ if it is true, better than old system. I guess it will save not less than 6 months of processing time.

Good idea of opening this thread.
And yes, it's better. Please advise also how much time you have to send all the documentation.
Ciao.
Tamarnouche.

PLEASE list your local CIC office so that we can tell which office you got a RQ from! |
