Has anybody from the 2012 club anything noteworthy to report of late?

Has anybody who submitted an application in Dec or Jan last received a change in status yet from 'Received' to 'In Process'?

Just curious...

I called cic and they informed me that they are doing background checks and that I am to sit for the test AFTER March 2013. My status still shows the boring "received"

I applied in November 2011, received letter dated Dec 12, 2011 and my status is "Received" and hasn't changed since then. When I called CIC I was told that my application hasn't been picked up for processing yet. What is your timeline Horizon?

Hi people,

Good to see finally someone has opened the forum for 2012 applications.

Looks like CIC has not even opened the packages of 2012 applications.

9 months have gone and they have not even started processing.

I think whoever applied in 2012 and from hereafter can expect 2 years processing time.

Keep this 2012 thread going guys, post your dates ...Big smile

This is so disheartening ; It seems that none of us who have applied in 2012 status has changed no matter where we live!
I tend to agree that it is going to be a looong wait.

My spouse applied Jan 18, 2012 and went in-process on May 18th. But he got an RQ.

I applied at the beginning of January this year... I'm at the nine months mark now...

I can't believe that my wife could have had a baby sooner than it took for CIC to start processing my application!  I too am still seeing 'Received'.

I will phone them at the beginning of Nov if there has been no change - So far I have resisted.

Lucky him as he got into processing after only 4 months (which is super fast by CIC standards, not normal standards of course). Hopefully his response to RQ is satisfactory and the processing won't take too much longer.

I applied on 12 Dec. 2011  on 31st July 2012 start processing also RQ received on 7th august 2012. file was transferred on 7th august also.
