Friends,

I have a question and when ever I have a citizenship question, this is the only place I feel i get correct guidance.

I have to travel India for a month in June and in case I get Oath notification during my travel period what can i do?

Can I inform CIC that I will be away for a month?

Thanks,

It is my understanding that according to the CIC rules, you must notify them if you plan on leaving Canada for more than 2 weeks while your application is still processing. Not sure if this applies in your case, however, or even if they enforce the rule.

I would simply give them a call and anonymously ask what your options are. I am guessing they can reschedule your oath without any problems if you request so in writing, though that may set you back anywhere 1-4 months.
