I am currently on the International Experience Canada programme which basically is an open work permit which expire March 2013.

I am working for a company in the Accounting department through an agency as a temporary worker. Th is company has offered me a job as Receptionist. My current permit can not be extended.

A) can I change my circumstances?
B) If I apply for a work permit am I applying as a completely new applicant as it is a different type?
C) Does the company need a LMO? If so will I struugle as the job is only as a Receptionist and not a highly skilled job

Would need an approved LMO from the company, then apply for a new work permit. It is unlikely that HRSDC would approve a LMO for a receptionist position.

Do you know if it would be possible for me to apply for an open work permit through my common-law partners job?

Currently he is a Class 1 Truck Driver however it is only local and not long haul.

He plans on going into the Oilfield next month but I am not sure if the noc varies through different positions within oilfield.
