Hi I am new in this forum. I just want to ask something about our situation. I have underage children, both of the kids have student visa. We parents accompanied them. My question are? can we change our tourist visa to immigrant visa since my children love already to stay here in canada.. And can we work while we're here?

Hi
1. No, you would have to apply and qualify under one the Canadian Immigration programs if you wish to remain permanently: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp 2. To work you would have to find an employee who is willing to advertise the position widely for 4 weeks, prove to Service Canada that there were no Canadians/PRs qualified for the position and salary was to Canadian norms. The employer would then have to pay $1000 when they submit the LMIA application for the position. You would have to apply for the work permit at an overseas office, as visitors are not eligible to apply in Canada. |
