Hello ,
I have recently asked by Singapore immigration office to send my and my husband passport to issue visa under the skilled migration category. Mu husband is a Government employee and on his passport there is a official seal and in all file processing , my husband´s that passport was used. But the Canadian immigration said that they will not accept any diplomat or official passport. For my husband it is difficult to have another new passport without official seal. Because duplicate passport is not possible for a govt employee. So he is deciding to quite the job and will make a new passport . But it will take some time . We did medical examination last august, 2012 and so we have time to enter Canada till July, 2013. In this situation as i am the main applicant , if i send only my passport to Singapore office, will they issue visa or if i send both passport (me and my husband official passport ) ? or will i explain the whole situation to immigration office Please give suggestion . Thanks . |

He should try to obtain private passport after approval from his ministry, etc. Canada will not issue PR Visa on the official/diplomatic passports.
