Hi everyone, this is my first post and I hope to get advise from you.
I just recently moved here to Canada about 3 months ago and I have now my PR Card. I have a girlfriend back in the Manila which we later found out the she's 1month pregnant when I landed here. We're planning to get married next year. my questions: 1. Is it possible to sponsor them both(my soon to be wife and my baby) once we got married? 2. Since I am here in Canada, what surname should the baby use? What is the best option to use without getting any future immigration problem? Thank you for reading and hoping to get advice from you all. Thanks Edited by rhein021 - 14 Apr 2011 at 1:38am |

As you said, you have landed 3 months ago and became PR. Right? And you found out later that your soon to be wife is pregnan, which means she is by now 2 months pregnant. I think you will have problem with misrepresantation with CIC. Every PR before landing is recieveing a letter from responsible visa office with explanantion about conditions of PR. I thinmk you should of tell them before landing about your child. May be I am wrong and some seniors will have better clarification for your situation. Good luck |
