STUDY PERMIT EXTENSION TAKING LONG TIME....

HI,

I HAVE DONE MY BACHELOR'S IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING FROM INDIA AND I GOT ADMISSION IN WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS (P.G. DIPLOMA), 1 YEAR.

I GOT THE STUDY PERMIT AND VISA.SmileSmile
I CAME TO CANADA, BUT I CHANGED MY PROGRAM TO BUSINESS ACCOUNTING, POST SECONDARY COURSE OF 2 YEAR.WinkWink

I DID TWO SEMESTERS AND MEANWHILE MY STUDY PERMIT WAS ABOUT TO EXPIRE.
SO I APPLIED FOR THE STUDY PERMIT, BUT SINCE LAST 7 MONTHS, I GOT 2 LETTERS FROM EMBASSY.ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

IN FIRST ONE THEY SAID, IT WILL TAKE 16 MORE WEEKS TO EXTEND THE PERMIT.OuchOuch
OuchAND AFTER 16 WEEK, I GOT 2ND LETTER, IN WHICH THEY SAID, CryCryCryCryCryCryCryCry

MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN SENT TO THE SPECIAL DEPT. st clair, ONTARIO, CANADA. AND THEY EVEN MENTIONED NOT TO ASK THE EMBASSY AGAIN ABOUT THE APPLICATION STATUS.

WHAT IS GOING WITH ME. I DIDN'T EVEN SUBMIT MY FEES FOR 3RD SEMESTER AS M NOT SO SURE WHETHER I WILL GET THE PERMIT OR NOT..

Are you in Canada or India?

If you are still in Canada, it does not matter.

but actually i know what u r telling me. the main matter that i am concerned about is, its already been 7 months since i have applied.
why they are taking so much of time?
why they have included the special department(st. clair canada immigration centre? ?

Form IMM 1294 is used by individuals who want to apply for a study permit. Approved study permits may be limited to study at a certain school, or certain course of study.
