Application Mailed April 29th and received by CIC on May 8th

I update this today: Feb 06, 2010 with the following ecas message:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 8, 2009.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called A Look at Canada on May 8, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We started processing your application on January 11, 2010.
Your file was transferred to the Kitchener CIC office on February 3, 2010. The Kitchener CIC office will contact you if additional information is required. The Kitchener CIC office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.
We sent you a notice on February 24, 2010 to XXXXX to appear and write the citizenship test on March 24, 2010 at 2:30 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

mailed on - april 29th from toronto
received on - may 4th e-cas - not working ( DOB not correct on their side) Acknowledgment letter received Nov. 8th (dated oct 20th) with old booklet (2005 version) called them and they said that i have to wait until they will actually match your information and then your ecas will show up...... My timeline so far...
Mailed............................................... May 22/2009 Delivered on....................................... May 25/2009 e-cas online status as "received"..........Nov 20/2009 Received acknowledgment letter on Nov 30/2009, with NO booklet.
It says that the new booklet "DISCOVER CANADA" will arrive sometime in December.

Hi
On your e-cas is showing just received or once they mailed you the letter they changed the ecas status into something like "we send you a letter bla bla". In my case ecas is showing just received on Fri Nov 27 and nothing else.
Here are my timelines for Mississauga:
Mailed May 30, 2009
Received June 2nd, 2009
E-cas received Nov 30, 2009

I got 2 letters.
Receipt Notice: Nov 25 2009 Saying it will take 12-15 months and status checking website and regular stuff. Notice of Change Letter: Which says we "Discover Canada" New Book will replace Old One " A Look at Canada". The new guide will be mailed once it is available for distribution early December. It also said we have the same book Online. Online ECAS: Recieved |
