Hi all - we sent our application January 17,2011 to Mississauga, was received on January 20/11. Now just waiting!! I feel so much better now that its out of our hands and into theirs
 Anyone else sent theirs in this month? |

We sent in mine 15 January...after having it returned to us (I forgot to write on the back of one of my mugshots and was told by some &^%$ from the Buffalo office via email that I could delay my medical exam while I was still pregnant (sent the app in Sept., the first time and delivered our third baby in October)--WRONG! They apparently don't tolerate delaying the medical exam even for pregnancy. It was actually something of a miracle that we got the application back. Anyway, we were looking at the CIC website to check the status, and it said that a decision has been made on my husband's sponsorship app for me...but of course we don't know what that is yet--we are waiting for the letter to arrive at our PO box in BC and we're in the States! Oy!

Ooh I hope I can join this thread soon! I'm so close to being finished with my packet I can taste it!! Just a few more things to sort and label this weekend and I should have it sent out on Monday the 31st haha!
I can't wait for this to be out of my hands too, though I'm not too terribly thrilled that we have an extra kink in the process since our sponsorship app has to go through Québec for approval. :( I'm crossing my fingers that I get my PR before my work permit expires in September!

I sent mine Jan 26th arrived Jan 28th in Vegreville.
Inland PR app for my comm law wife. Fingers Crossed

We got the first piece of good news = sponsorship approval!
App for PR has been sent to Buffalo, now we wait for that one. Feel like a weight has been lifted, knowing it's actually moving now. |

They said in another forum that they originally submitted in September but were missing a couple of things, so had to send it back again. They must have still be partly working on it while they were waiting for the missing things. I think that's why it went so fast. I don't think the rest of us will be quite so quick unfortunately!  |

Yes, that is about right. I kinda wasn't sure if I should be on this thread on the September thread - mainly because we didn't find out that the packet was returned the first time for about 2 months (there goes our timeline), due to being in the US. We hadn't checked ecas, we just happened to call to give them the new mailing address (my husband had closed up our apartment and rented a PO box in Canada), and they mentioned then that the whole thing got returned - to the apartment he had just left!!
Originally sent in the first time in September 2010, returned November 1st 2010. Finally re-sent in January 15th, 2011. We really weren't expecting the first decision this soon. |
