I live on Yonge and sheppard area in Toronto, and I have applied for the citizenship on OCT 2009, and I still don't know where my file will go
-St.Claire or
-Scarborough or
-Ontario operations?
Also, what is the time frame for those offices between being processed till doing the exam?
Can any one help or lived in the same area and went thru the process to help?

X29r, do you live at yonge and sheppard, did you receive your CIC office as St.Claire? What is the average time from "In process" to "Test date" lead times at St.Claire? Does anybody know? |

Normally, addresses along Yonge are handled by St.Clair, all the way from downtown and up to Thornhill and Richmond Hill inclusive. "Ontario Operations" and St.Clair are the same office.
However, there were reports recently of some cases in Toronto-Etobicoke area being transferred to Scarborough and even to Mississauga instead of Etobicoke. One of the reasons could be a temporary shortage of citizenship judges at Etobicoke. So, sometime there may be deviations. The number of citizenship judges in Toronto currently: Mississauga - 5 Etobicoke - 1 St.Clair - 2 Scarborough - 3 Timeframes can be found in respective threads for local offices. |

Is the more judges the office has, means the more faster they are? or it depends on the load on that office? I see scarborough is much faster than St.Clair between the transferred to the test dates

The processing times may obviously depend on many things, including the number of judges, the previously accumulated backlog, complexity of the cases, changes in the regulations and operational policies, staffing, internal office management, etc.

Guys,
I know now that my file was transferred to Ontario office. Is this office fast in processing files? or it is much slower than St.Claire? Is there any problem if my file went to Ontario office?
Where is this office located? Is it in Toronto? Where will I do the citizenship exam?
