Hi All,
Could any1 tell us like what happens if all family apply as a single file for citizenship and one of the family member fails in a written test. We wrote a test in august 2009 but unluckly my mother only could not go through and since then we all are waiting for oath date. we dont have any clue what is going to happen now and how long further it might take. I will appreciate if you guys share your experiences and atleast advise me. some1 told me that they wont let any1 take oath unless every1 in the family satisfies the citizenship requirement. is that true ? would it be good idea to separate every1 file to make this process a bit quicker...?? please advise as it's been more than 2 years since v have applied. Its brampton ontario which is probably dealing our file. Cheeeeeeeeeeers

At this stage, I think, everyone file is treated separately. Just wait for oath. This is weird that you did not hear from them since last august. It should take maximum 5 months between test and oath. Did you call CIC?

Well yeah man it's really weird. we received the test result in feb this year. then they asked for my dad finger prints and then 1 month later asked for my younger brother figer prints. thats all they have done since then. v called cic and asked them if is possible to separte every member file and get it dealt on individual basis but that lady goes it will take more time rather. she also said we wont get an oath date untill my mom meet the requirement. what do u think hwat will happen next ? cheers
