Sponsoring Parents with US Green Cards.

For an existing Canadian Permanent Resident, 
  1. How long will it take to sponsor a parent who is a US Green Card Holder living in the US. 
  2. Is it possible & will that have an impact on the parents American Green Card.
Would appreciate any quick responses.

I dont know if that it should have any effect on the green card, really it shouldnt, like PR once they have got it, thats it.
As for the timelines, well I would expect no less than the standard guidelines of your embassy.

Not quite, if the parents take up permanent residence in Canada and are outside the US for a year, their Green card can be stripped. Citizens, it makes no difference, but GC holders it sure does. Processing times, 36 months Mississauga, Buffalo 10-18 months.
