help please,
I applied for immigration to Canada in the 23rd of Nov.2007. After 1 year my Consultant told me that I should take the IELTS test, so I did the test and passed on the 7th of Feb 2009. While I was surfing the Canadian immigration Website, I noticed that the IELTS test should not be more than one year old at the time of submission. My consultant said that it is OK because my application is in Nov.2007 and as long as the IELTS test is not before that date then it will be accepted. Frankly, I have my doubts about that...Could anybody advise me.. Thanx

Your lawyer is right. I think you misunderstood what is written in CIC website.
From CIC's OP6 page 6 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf):
"test results must not be older than one year on the date of application"
which means your results should not be dated 23rd of Nov.2006 or earlier.
