Hi,

I had sponsored my wife in 2010 and she landed in Sep-2010 but we got divorced in Jan-2013 if I
go to my home country and get married again can I sponsor my wife again and how much time it takes to process the application.

Thanks.

Yes - you can sponsor someone again. How long it takes depends on which country your new spouse is from.

Sponsor approved: 06/28/2010
Processing started: 08/19/2010

Only if you were the person who was sponsored for PR. If you are the Canadian who did the sponsoring - this rule doesn't apply to you.

If your original wife landed in September 2010, you wouldn't be eligible to sponsor until September 2013 - you cannot undertake a second sponsorship until your first sponsorship obligation has expired.

FSW applied 6/09, denied (med inadmissible) 12/11. JR leave granted 7/12, discontinued 9/12. Spousal app PPR 9/12. Landed 13 October 2012
