Hi I need to renew my pr card. I have lost my passport and had to apply for a new passport - hence all my entry/exit stamps have gone!
I have met my residency requirements...
Anyone has any suggestions / comments on what to expect when I file my PR renewal application???
thank youConfused

Residency questions.

Be prepared to document your presence in Canada.

Sometimes: it is not what you know, it's what you can prove.

The burden of proof, after all, is on YOU. I will be saying that again.

Beyond that, hard to say how it will go in particular since a great deal depends on all your circumstances. I mean, if you had a job with an easily recognized Canadian employer whose records document your appearance at a work site in Canada for well over a hundred weeks in the past three or four years (technically up to five but just a hundred weeks in five years would be cutting it close), it could go quite easily, especially if you have objective documentation showing where you were living, in Canada, during all that time.

Hint: do not apply for the new card unless and until you can actually document you have complied with the residency obligation, especially if you have cut it close.

Bottom-line: there are potentially strong negative inferences from any weakness in your case when you do not, cannot, present your travel documents to corroborate your travel disclosures. This is not punitive. This is merely evidentiary stuff. The burden of proof is on you. The failure to submit this evidence as proof tends to weaken your case considerably.
Bureaucracy is what bureaucracy does, or When in doubt, follow the instructions. Otherwise, follow the instructions.

BTW: Not an expert, not a Can. lawyer, never worked in immigration
