i'm coming from a country that i can visit Canada without visa. But my wife needs a visa. You think that we will have any problem to apply for visitor's visa after refusing our application for permanent residence ? because in the application for visitor's visa, we have to mention that we applied also for permanent residence ..... (form [IMM 5257] point e) in case of refusal also as tourists, will they stamp my wife's passport with any refusal stamp ?? Just want to see some old friends / colleagues. your comments please .

They usually put a stamp (usually back pages), where they place the visa office and officers number and date when you tried to apply for a visit visa. Your wife should have enough proof of ties with her country of origin. |

thanks job_seeker.
of course we will come back after our visit. we have our children here. our jobs (currently my wife has managerial position). when you say they will put stamp at the back pages, you mean approval or refusal stamp ?

They will put a stamp somewhere at the back pages, if it is a refusal and visa counterfoil if approved. The refusal stamp is hardly noticeable Edited by job_seeker - 26 Feb 2010 at 5:07pm |
